Morgan's realm of music often spans across several genres so it's not surprising to hear musical compositions ranging from Gospel, R&B, Smooth Jazz and Soft Rock. If you listen closely to some of her music you might even hear a little of that classical music training flowing from her keys. In her words, "the words have to fit the music like a hand in glove so however I write it is the musical style that I feel it is suppose to be written." |

No Difference
I look at you while you look at me Trying to find some commonality In what we think and how we feel All of us blinded by what’s actually real Made to believe that what we see Is truly how its suppose to be I hate you and you hate me And now we can’t seem to live in peace Nothing could be further from the truth Just look around, I’m living proof That I’m no killer, crack head, welfare thief Lying on my back eating government cheese Conforming to what people think or acting out …
Emotions
Buried deep within underneath the waters of emotions lies hidden a treasure chest of metaphors and similies waiting to be formed into waves of expressions that only those riding the unsettled currents could at best understand.
This ship called life sails daily in troubled waters making its journey around the world to far away places most have never sailed before only to find a different backdrop, strange faces and different ways of doing things. But yet, each can communicate in a language understood by all that dives beneath the surface down to the depths of the soul to find that one thing that binds us all together... emotions. © Morgan E Balenton September 2007 Musical Notes
Music to me is like the blood that flows through my veins; without it I cease to exist. Ever since I was a little girl music has played a major role in my life. I can remember staying in my room for hours under those big gigantic headphones (you know the ones) listening to groups such as Sister Sledge, Chic, Brother’s Johnson, Earth, Wind & Fire, Emotions, Frankie Beverly & Maze, LTD, Ohio Players, Gap Band, and the list just goes on and on and on and on. (My bad, my fingers got stuck.) But …
Reflecting On A Memory
The night is calm with a cool breeze. I can hear the soft whispers of the trees reminding me of how we use to love; shadow dancing underneath the moonlit sky above. Starlight, star bright, how I wish that I could have you here with me tonight. Loving you, you loving me instead I'm all alone reflecting on a memory. Reflecting on a memory of when there was just you and me with plans to spend our lives through eternity But as fate would have it we weren't meant to be. Reflecting on a memory of how deep in …

Every once in a while, I run across unknown artist whose music really captures me. As in the case with Becky Jarvis, an up and coming CRS Entertainment Artist all the way from "across the pond." |

Very often some of the most talented and gifted vocalist go unrecognized however I refuse to allow this songbird to stay behind the curtains. I have had the pleasure of working with Ms Ceci London in and out of the studio. Recently she laid the vocals for a collaboration effort between Da'Low Recordz and Seal of Approval Music Productions. I bet ya didn't know that the song you are listening to now is Ms Ceci London singing "Lay With Me" written by Morgan "Lady Imurj" Balenton and produced by Turhan "t-trakz" Tayale of Da'Low Records and Morgan "Lady Imurj" Balenton of Seal of Approval Music. |
